Slow Cooker Creamed Corn
Jalapenos are the most popular chile peppers in the US. This is probably due to the availability and versatility of the chile. Jalapenos have a balanced combination of flavor and heat.
The demand for these have caused breeders to develop a broad range of varieties. You can now get jalapenos with various heat level and sizes. These can be used in salsas, stuffed, or eaten straight with cheeseburgers (my personal favorite).
Ingredients:
1 pound Cascadian Farms organic frozen corn
3/4 can Progresso Recipe Starters, Creamy Roasted Garlic flavor
1/2 cup shredded Mexican blend cheese
2 teaspoon Old El Paso taco seasoning
1 whole jalapeno pepper, sliced and divided
Instructions:
In a small slow cooker, add all the ingredients and half of the sliced peppers. Cook on high for two hours until creamy and hot, stirring occasionally. Serve in a medium serving bowl topped with remaining sliced fresh jalapeno pepper.
