Roasted Garlic and Cream Cheese Stuffed Jalapenos
Jalapeños are the most popular chile peppers in the US. This is probably due to the availability and versatility of the chile. Jalapeños have a balanced combination of flavor and heat. The demand for these have caused breeders to develop a broad range of varieties.
Ingredients
1/2 head of roasted garlic (see link below)
1 8oz pkg cream cheese, refrigerated
12-15 jalapeños, split in half lengthwise & deseeded
Instructions
Squeeze 5-6 roasted garlic cloves out of the head and smash into a paste.
Smear the paste over the block of cream cheese and rub it in. (You can mix it in a bowl if you choose but this is quicker and less cleanup)
Slice cream cheese and mold to fit inside the jalapeño. Place on a baking sheet
Roast 425* for 15-20 min or until cheese is brown and bubbly.
