Jalapeno Popper Patty Melt
Jalapeños are the most popular chile peppers in the US. This is probably due to the availability and versatility of the chile. Jalapeños have a balanced combination of flavor and heat. The demand for these have caused breeders to develop a broad range of varieties.
Serves: 6
Ingredients
3 fresh jalapenos, ribs and seeds removed, chopped finely
8 oz. Reduced fat cream cheese, softened
½ cup non-fat plain greek yogurt
⅓ cup grated parmesan cheese
12 slices of whole grain bread
6 slices of pepper jack cheese
6 Ball Park® Flame Grilled Patties (Original flavor)
Instructions
Pre-heat a panini press to medium-high.
Combine the chopped jalapenos, softened cream cheese, greek yogurt and parmesan cheese. Mix well to create a spread.
Slather the jalapeno spread on whole grain bread slices.
Add pepper jack cheese to six pieces of the bread.
Cook the Ball Park® Flame Grilled Patty Originals in the microwave (65-75 seconds for one patty or 3 minutes for all six or until hot)
Add the cooked patty to the pieces of bread that do NOT have the pepper jack cheese.
Assemble the sandwiches by topping the Ball Park® Flame Grilled Patties with the other piece of bread with the pepper jack cheese.
Place in a panini press and grill the sandwich until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is ooey gooey (approximately 3-4 minutes).
