Easy Spicy Pot Roast
Jalapenos are the most popular chile peppers in the US. This is probably due to the availability and versatility of the chile. Jalapenos have a balanced combination of flavor and heat.
The demand for these have caused breeders to develop a broad range of varieties. You can now get jalapenos with various heat level and sizes. These can be used in salsas, stuffed, or eaten straight with cheeseburgers (my personal favorite).
Ingredients:
4 jalapeno peppers
1 lb boneless chuckeye steak
12 oz pumpkin beer
1 large potato, peeled and diced
Chili pepper seasoning
Chili sauce to taste
Instructions:
Season the steak with the chili pepper seasoning of your choice. We used some habanero flakes.
In a slow cooker, add steak, whole jalapeno peppers, beer, and potato. Cook on medium to low heat about 6 hours. Serve with your favorite chili sauce over the top of the steak!
