Chile-Ginger Sauce (Malaysian)
At first glance these eye-catching chile peppers look like red jalapeno. However, they have a different flavor and are less meaty than Jalapeno. Red Fresnos are great roasted and added to salsas. Try grilling them alongside your steaks or in kabobs.
When roasting these they should char, blister, and become soft. Try substituting these in your favorite chile recipes.
Ingredients:
6 red Fresno chiles
1-1/4″ piece of ginger, chopped
4 cloves garlic
5 oz. water
2 tsp. salt
5 Tbsp. sugar
5 Tbsp. lime juice
1 tsp. sesame oil
Instructions:
Blend all the ingredients together in a food processor and season to taste with salt. It is a wonderful accompaniment with grilled seafood of all kinds and when used in marinades.
