Asian Noodle Salad with Shrimp and Peanuts
Bailey Farms hot sauces are all natural and of the highest quality. Unlike other sauces that are mostly pepper-vinegar, they are a blend of chiles and fresh vegetables that are cooked down to perfection and deliver the perfect balance of heat and flavor.
Ingredients:
1 pound dried soba noodles or spaghetti
1/4 cup sesame oil
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 Tbsp. sugar
1-1/2 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar or red wine vinegar
2 tsp. salt
1 cup chopped fresh cilantro
8 green onions, thinly sliced
1/2 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined, steamed
1 Tbsp. Bailey Farms Red Habanero Hot Sauce
1-1/2 cups lightly salted dry-roasted peanuts, coarsely chopped
Instructions:
Cook the noodles in large pot of rapidly boiling salted water until al dente, stirring occasionally. Drain and rinse the noodles with cold water until cool, then transfer to large bowl.
Combine the sesame oil, soy sauce, sugar, vinegar, hot sauce and salt in a small bowl and stir to dissolve the sugar. Add the sauce to the noodles and add the chopped fresh cilantro, green onions and shrimp and mix well. Sprinkle the chopped peanuts over the noodles and serve.
