Anaheim Chile Cream Cheese and Avocado Bagel Sandwich
An Anaheim pepper is a mild variety of chili pepper. The name “Anaheim” derives from Emilio Ortega, a farmer who brought the seeds to the Anaheim, California, area in the early 1900s.
Serves: 2 sandwiches
INGREDIENTS
5 tablespoons cream cheese
3 tablespoons Anaheim chiles, roasted + chopped
1 avocado, sliced
2 plain {or sesame seed!} bagels, toasted
1 tablespoon cilantro, chopped
kosher salt + freshly ground pepper, to taste
INSTRUCTIONS
Combine the cream cheese and Anaheim chiles in a bowl. Mix well!
Season the cream cheese mix with salt and pepper to taste.
Spread the cream cheese mix over one side of your toasted bagel.
Lay the avocado over the cream cheese, season with freshly ground pepper and cilantro.
