Introducing the Bailey Farms Sweet Mini-Peppers. The unique size and taste characteristics of this pepper offer a wide range of recipe options and uses. They are great for parties – just stuff, bake and enjoy!
Ingredients:
1 cup mini twist pretzels, finely crushed
1/2 small red bell pepper, very thinly sliced
1/2 medium red onion, very thinly sliced
Cooking spray
1 (8-ct) can crescent rolls
4 pork and beef hot dogs (about 10 oz)
2 slices Cheddar cheese (about 1 1/2 oz)
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
Steps:
Preheat oven to 400°F. Crush pretzels (easy to do in zip-top bag). Slice pepper and onion. Coat baking sheet with spray. Unroll dough and separate into 4 rectangles (press diagonal perforations to seal).
Cut hot dogs lengthwise down the center, leaving one side intact; cut cheese into strips and place in center of hot dog.
Place hot dog, cheese side down, on one short end of dough. Divide peppers and onions down side of each hot dog. Gently roll dough around the hot dogs and filling.
Coat dough with spray; roll in pretzel crumbs, pressing with fingertips to coat evenly. Place on baking sheet; bake 12–15 minutes or until golden. Serve with mustard for dipping.
