Corn on the Cob Roasted in Homemade Hoisin Sauce
Bailey Farms hot sauces are all natural and of the highest quality. Unlike other sauces that are mostly pepper-vinegar, they are a blend of chiles and fresh vegetables that are cooked down to perfection and deliver the perfect balance of heat and flavor.
Ingredients
Recipe makes 3 medium corns on the cob
3 corn on the cob, peeled and washed
Ingredients for the Hoisin sauce
4 tbsp. soy sauce
2 tbsp. smooth peanut butter
1 tbsp. dark brown sugar
3 tsp. sesame seed oil
1-2 tsp. hot sauce
Pinch of black pepper
2 cloves of garlic, finely minced
2 tsp. rice wine vinegar
Method
Blend all of the ingredients together and blitz them to a smooth paste
Cut some kitchen foil suitable for roasting in the oven into a square big enough to wrap an individual corn on the cob and cover it with a third of the sauce and wrap it, sealing all exposed parts of the corn. Coat and cover the other cobs in this way.
Roast the corn in the oven at 200 degrees for 45 minutes.
