Bob’s Habanero Hot Sauce

This Caribbean pepper is famous for being the hottest chile pepper in the world. They come in a variety of shapes and colors(yellow, orange,green, red,chocolate). Not only are they extremely hot, but they also have a unique,distinctively fruity flavor.

It is the key ingredient in the popular Jamaican Jerk sauce. The habanero is also widely used in many different types of hot sauces. The popularity of this chile pepper continues to grow and is becoming easier to find on the grocery shelf.

12 habanero peppers, seeded and chopped
1 (15.5 oz) can sliced peaches in heavy syrup
1/2 cup dark molasses
1/2 cup yellow mustard
1 cup distilled white vinegar
2 Tbsp salt
2 Tbsp paprika
1 Tbsp black pepper
1 Tbsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp ground coriander
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp ground allspice


Place the peppers, peaches, molasses, mustard, brown sugar, and vinegar into the container of a food processor or blender. Measure in the salt, paprika, pepper, cumin, coriander, ginger, and allspice. Blend until liquefied. Pour into clean jars, and refrigerate overnight before using.
