Spicy Baked Prawns

These are very hot little firecrackers from the orient. They can be used to add spice to almost any oriental dish. They dry very easily and can be stored and used this way for a long time.

Ingredients:

16 whole prawns
1/2 cup yogurt
2 big cloves of garlic
1 small piece of ginger
1 chile
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp salt
Lemons for serving

Instructions:

Rinse the prawns in cold running water, then cut the prawns along the inner curve in half, devein, then rinse again. For the marinade mix yogurt together with grated ginger and garlic, sliced chili, chili powder and garam masala. Season prawns with salt and drain in the marinade. Let it stand in the fridge for at least 2 hours. Bake for 10-12 minutes on 400°F depending on their size. Serve with fresh parsley and lemon.
