Jalapeno Lime Dip

Jalapeños are the most popular chile peppers in the US. This is probably due to the availability and versatility of the chile. Jalapeños have a balanced combination of flavor and heat. The demand for these have caused breeders to develop a broad range of varieties.

Serves: 8 servings

INGREDIENTS
4 whole large jalapenos, seeded with this handy tool
5 cloves garlic
½ cup fresh cilantro, rinse and pat dry
8 oz. light sour cream
½ cup mayonnaise
1 pkg. (1 oz.) dry ranch dip mix
½ a fresh lime, juiced
2-4 tablespoons milk
Tortilla chips, for serving

INSTRUCTIONS
Roughly chop the jalapenos, garlic and cilantro. Add to a food processor and pulse to chop, scraping down the sides a few times.
Add in the sour cream, mayonnaise, ranch dip mix and lime juice, then pulse until creamy. Then, start by adding 2 tablespoons of the milk slowly, until you’ve reached your desired consistency, adding in more if desired. Refrigerator for a half hour and then pour into a cute serving dish, and serve with tortilla chips or fresh veggies.
